Earth's Ocean/ A selection from my book on Amazon Kindle

EARTH’S OCEAN

There is an invisible ocean

On this planet God calls

Earth.

An ocean in which many

Lives are lost.

An ocean in which many

Lives have drowned.

Come on, you see them,

I see them,

We all see them.

Everyday walking aimlessly

With blank bewildered stares.

They have no destination

Because there is nowhere

They need to be

Imagine,

Waking up everyday

With all you own

In tow

And it is just

Another day

With nowhere to go.

Imagine

Fitting everything you own in two

Shopping bags;

Imagine wearing clothing that

Can only be described as rags

I see them everyday living

In dismay.

Imagine

The garbage can being

Your only source of food.

And

The only person you can

Depend on is you.

The Park benches your only bed.

Sometimes with nowhere to lay your head

I see them everyday

We all see them everyday

I give them what I can spare

Are we all doing

Our share?

There is an invisible ocean

On this planet God calls

Earth.

Where so many souls are

Walking around hurt

Don’t judge this soul

Until you walk in his or her

Torn shoes

You have no idea what

They have been through.
